Q. When is the Tatura 200 charity bike ride?

Q. How much is it to enter?

A. There are different prices for the different rides, to view the prices for the Tatura 200 click here.  There are 4 Rides: 200km, 100km, 50km and 25km. To guarantee correct jersey size registrations must be received by Monday 4th October 2011.

Entries close on Friday 4th November 2011.

Q. How do I pay my sponsorship money?

A. You can Pay online via Credit Card/PayPal

Q. I don't want to ride, can I still be part of the event?

A. You can register as a volunteer via the following email address This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Q. Will there be anything to eat?

A. Yes there is!

  • There is a free cooked breakfast for 200km riders
  • Lunch (sandwiches)
  • Drinks and snacks along the ride!

Q. Do we ride on dirt/ gravel roads?

A. All of the roads are sealed.  Road bikes are usually ridden but mountain bikes could be okay for the family ride.

Q. What if my bike breaks?

A. Mechanical support is available along the route but you are expected to be able to change and repair a puncture.

It is also strongly recommended that you have your bike serviced before the event.

Q. What if I can't continue?

A. There will be a number of support vehicles which will be following the riders.  You can stop and wait for a support vehicle or stop at one of the drink stations, or alternatively you can ring the emergency support number on your wristband.

Q. What charities or organisations will benefit from the sponsorship money?

A. The organising committee will decide on the final distribution of funds from the event.

You can influence the committee by suggesting charities or organisations you would like to see benefitting from the event by filling out the charity box on the application form.

Even if you are a volunteer you are still able to suggest a charity or organization for consideration.

Q. Is it a race?

A. The Tatura 200 ride is a ride event and NOT a race.

Q. How do I know my way?

A. The route will have indicator signs at cross roads and all changes of direction.

There will be marshals along the way to highlight any dangerous corners or tricky turns.

Q. What average speed is required to meet the 200km deadline?

A. 25km per hour.

Q. Where does the ride start and finish?

A. The Ride and Walks Starts from and finishes at Mactier Park in Tatura.
